Mezzo- Soprano Adriana Zabala’s versatile career has recently included the title role of La Cenerentola at the Arizona Opera, the Lyric Opera of San Antonio, and Opera Carolina; Rosina in The Barber of Seville with the Utah Opera, Minnesota Opera, the Wildwood Festival, the Syracuse Opera and the West Virginia Symphony; and the title role of Carmen at the Wildwood Festival. Earlier this season she sang two concerts with the Jacksonville Symphony, returned to the Minnesota Opera as Niklausse in The Tales of Hoffman, made her debut with the Austin Lyric Opera in a critically aclaimed performance as the Barbarian Girl in the American premiere of Phillip Glass’ Waiting for the Barbarians, sang Mercedes in Carmen with Opera Pacific, and made her debut performance in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. A passionate recitalist, Ms. Zabala is the Artistic Director of the Atlanta based Southeastern Festival of Song.
